London United seized the opportunity as nine-player Harchester lost for the first time at the Dragon's Lair this season.

The Dragons had captain Tony Butcher and talisman Karl Fletcher sent off - defender Butcher thrown out for being the last guy on Neil Boyle, striker Fletcher ejected for handling the ball twice. Both will miss the second leg at HMV Park next week.

Cristiano Costa scored from the free-kick from which Butcher was sent off from to put United 1-0 up.

And CraiCo finished it off with a sweet finish with ten minutes remaining.

United 'keeper Simon Herding made a triumphant return to the Black-and-Red nets and played the whole 90 minutes despite a minor back problem.

"My back is still sore but I was still able to get down and grab the ball," he said after the game.

"I will continue to monitor my back problem and see if I'll be fit for the second leg."
