Australia completed a famous 1-0 victory over Italy in Sydney.
Hometown hero Scott Mendes played in Ryan Roberts, one-two back to Mendes and thumped past Andrea Rossi from 20 yards out.
And the Italians could not conjure up a single chance, thanks to the absolute rock-solid Green-and-Gold defence.
Azzurri boss Marco Dellamagna will have few positives to take out of this game.
Italy were disorganized defensively as well - Australia, in truth, might have won 7-0 when consistent errors from Beppe Guillacci and Emiliano Tournetti played Craig Bothwell and Kevin Moreno onside but Rossi was on hand to save everything he could.
However, the Rome Rage goalie could not stop Mendes' incredible winner, on yet another night that will go down in the history in Australian soccer.
